ShelterBox in top ten most useable charity websites

After an 18-month creative relationship codesigning and rebranding the current ShelterBox identity, mainly to bring all the international affiliates on brand and on message, Leap delivered the ShelterBox International website during November 2009. Last week the site was selected by web design journal Smashing Magazine as one of the most useable charity websites in the world.

Once the site was completed and in full operation last year, we handed the site to the ShelterBox marketing team who conseuently employed an agency called Devstars to maintan the site and make some additions.

The ShelterBox site came in at number nine, but when you consider the size and turnover of some of the other charities chosen we think that the site really does stand out.

The article make special mention of the box counter panel that features on the site's homepage that was from the inspired mind of Kieran on our digital design team:

"By showing the counter and including additional zeroes at the beginning of the total, the user understands that this is an ever-increasing number and therefore, an active campaign."

This morning we got a 'massive thank you' from ShelterBox. We'd also like to extend our thanks to everyone at ShelterBox for giving us the opportunity to design for such a worthy cause.
