Cleo Sold! Hall for Cornwall Auction Raises £40k

The herd sold for a total of £38,850, quite a bit more than expected. The Callestick Farm cow raised the most, which was also a surprise, at £3400! Next was the Mirror Cow which went for £3,000 and 'I Herd it Through the Bovine' that achieved a sale price of £2,800. Matt's favourite, 'Metalsmoo' from jewellery gallery Avantgarde, did well too, it sold for £2,200 which was really great.

Having been destroyed by Friday night revellers on Lemon Quay, the original Cleo has an unknown fate at the moment. Matt came up with several 'suggestions' that included cutting her down her length and having her mounted on one of our studio walls... hmm. Maybe having her head on our wall (Davy Crockett styly), or even in Matt's garden for his kids to play on. Hannah Beech, Marketing Manager at HfC said that she has been approached by the theatre's cafe staff asking for her to be put to pasture there, maybe with a sign saying: 'let's see if we can treat the environment better than we treated this cow'. Wherever she ends up we promise that no cows will be harmed in the making of said exhibition!

As far as the new cow is concerned, the manufacturer has got some in stock, and we should be painting her up at the end of this week... Watch this space for news from the farm!
